Our client is one of the biggest manufacturers of spices and sauces, having been in the industry for 130 years, they’ve established themselves as a reputable food manufacturing brand. They are currently looking for an experienced machine operator to join their team based in Clayton. This role will have you monitor the operation of machines, ensuring processes are running smoothly and resolving any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate in an automated environment where goods are palletized onto pallets
  • Start up and monitor production machines
  • Oversee lines, troubleshoot issues and resolve errors
  • Replenish the line with drums of plastic wrap which gets cut, moulded and filled with yummy sauce
  • Operate a walker stacker to bring in the sauce drums
  • Lift the packaged sauce and empty into the production line
  • Be able to work with a forklift operator entering in and out of the department

About you:

  • Strong GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) knowledge
  • Strong LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) knowledge
  • Good understanding of numeracy and literacy
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Good understanding of SOP’s
  • STRONG ability to operate and troubleshoot mechanical issues with production machinery

Experience with disassembling and re-assembling machines
